Central African Product Conformity Assessment Scheme IVoC

The product conformity assessment plan IVoC will be implemented from March 1, 2021.

In order to protect domestic consumers in Central Africa from the public health, safety, and environmental hazards caused by substandard products, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) of the Central African Republic has authorized SGS as the exclusive certification service provider to provide the IVoC (Inspection and Verification of Conformity Program) for goods exported to the Central African Republic.

Starting from March 1, 2021, SGS will carry out a series of certification procedures such as document review and goods inspection for all products within the scope of the new export control plan to Central Africa, and issue a Certificate of Conformity (CoC) to prove their compliance with relevant technical regulations and standards in Central Africa, for local customs clearance of goods in Central Africa.
